Athletic Fields

The Kannapolis Parks & Recreation Department maintains and rents many different athletic fields. For more information on fees and reservations, please visit our forms and documents page.


 

  • Bakers Creek Park

    1275 West A Street

    Bakers Creek Park is 40 acres designed as an active community park. This 40-acre park is open daily, though hours vary from season to season.

    Lighted 280’ softball field

 

  • Kannapolis Middle School Athletic Fields

    1445 Oakwood Avenue

    These facilities are jointly used by Kannapolis City Schools and Kannapolis Parks and Recreation. The fields are available for use through the Parks and Recreation Department.

    Lighted 225’ softball field
    Lighted 305’ baseball field with pitching mound
    Full-size, lighted soccer/football field

    Paved Track
    This regulation eight-lane, 400m track loops around the football field and is open for walking, running and training.

    Restrooms & Concessions
    Restrooms and concessions are open only during park and recreation events.

 

  • Walter M. Safrit Park

    1314 Bethpage Road

    Safrit Park is a 17-acre athletic facility that includes the following amenities. The park is open daily, though hours vary from season to season.
